We are pleased to announce that the 2015 edition of the ESPACOMP meeting will be held in Prague, Czech Republic, on the 13th and 14th November 2015.




Welcome to the ESPACOMP meeting website! The 19th ESPACOMP Annual Meeting will be held in Prague, Czech Republic. This website will be update in the build-up to the meeting.



The ESPACOMP 2015 will be held in the Prague Congress Centre, a venue with easy access to many hotels in near vicinity. With the subway located within just 2 minutes walking distance from the venue, the very heart of the city can be reached in a matter of minutes.

The abstract submission deadline passed on June 8th, 2015. 73 abstracts were submitted, the majority of which have never been presented before. Authors will be notified about abstract selection during the month of July.

The ESPACOMP team would like to thank all authors for their submissions.


The presenting author(s) must register and attend the ESPACOMP Conference. Presenters are responsible for their own travel, accommodations and conference registration fees.

Poster sizes should be portrait and measure 90cm (35 inches) wide x 120cm (47 inches) high, which is A0 format.  Posters should be easily readable at about 2 m.
The formal poster session will be held on Friday November 13 from 12:30-14:15. Poster presenters are asked to stand by their poster during the poster session.
All posters will be available for review by conference attendees on Friday and Saturday, November 13-14.

* Registration fees include conference material, welcome drink on Thursday evening, coffee breaks and lunches at the venue during the meeting, and a Gala dinner on Friday evening.

* Note for students: a copy of your student identification card is required for registration. Please send it to the meeting secreariat.

Registration and activity fees must be paid for during the registration process (either via credit card or via bank transfer). Payment for hotels will be taken upon check-in on arrival day.
Mind that selections for neither poster nor oral presentations exempt attendees from the registration fee.


The Gala diner will be held on Friday, November 13 at 20:00 at Mlýnec Restaurant (Novotného lávka 9, 110 00 Praha 1). The 3-course diner is included in the registration fee.





Departure from the venue with a guide at 19:00 – 45 minutes / 3,7 km walk.


How to get there

Directions from the Prague Congress Center venue to the Mlýnec Restaurant:
Taxi: 15 minutes. 
Public transportation: travel time 25 minutes: take the Metro C from Vyšehrad (dir. Letňany / Ládví) to station Museum > change to Metro A (dir. Nemocnice Motol / Dejvická ) > two stops to Staroměstská > Exit in direction Karlův most/Charles Bridge > walk about 6 minutes / 300 m to the restaurant (see the metro map below).

By train

Prague has several train stations, but international trains are likely to arrive at the Main Railway Station (Hlavní nádraží). There are also some international arrivals at Holešovice Station (Nádraží Holešovice). These stations are connected to the underground (red line C) going directly to the Prague Congress Centre (Vyšehrad).


Prague has much used and inexpensive underground, tram, and bus system. During the peak hours, underground trains run every 1 or 2 minutes, and during off-peak hours at least every 10 minutes. For more information about Prague public transportation visit

Passengers need a valid ticket to travel on the city public transport system. The ticket must be stamped as soon as you get on a bus or tram, or enter the transport area (in the case of a metro station). You can find public city transport routes, ticket prices and timetables on


By metro (subway)

Prague Congress Centre is right next to Vyšehrad metro station (line C).


By tram

The nearest tram stop is Svatoplukova. It is in Nusle, directly underneath Nusle Bridge (Nuselský most). Tram numbers 7, 18 and 24 stop here. After getting off the tram walk under the railway line and up the steps through the park straight to the Congress Centre which you will be able to see above you.

By bus

From the bus station Florenc travel 4 stops by metro in the direction of Háje (line C).

By train

From the Main Railway Station travel 3 stops by metro in the direction of Háje (line C).

By car

1) from the north along the D8 motorway

If you are travelling from the north along the E55 motorway in the direction from Dresden, follow the signs to the centre. After you have crossed the Vltava river drive through the centre in the direction of Nusle Bridge (Nuselský most). After crossing the bridge turn right and follow the signs to Prague Congress Centre. At the roundabout turn right towards the ÖMV petrol station. This will take you to the underground car park.

2) from the south along the D1 motorway
If you are coming by motorway in the direction from Brno, Vienna or Bratislava, follow the signs to the centre. You will come to a street named ‘ulice 5. května’. Before reaching Nusle Bridge (Nuselský most) turn right towards the Corinthia Towers hotel and then follow the signs to Prague Congress Centre. At the roundabout turn right in the direction of the ÖMV petrol station. This will take you to the underground car park.

3) from the west along the D5 motorway
If you are coming by motorway in the direction from Rudná, drive along the Prague ring road (Pražský okruh) to the centre. After crossing the river you will join the Jižní spojka. Follow the signs to the centre, then to a street named ‘ulice 5. května’. Before reaching Nusle Bridge (Nuselský most) turn right towards the Corinthia Towers hotel. You will then come to a roundabout where you should turn right in the direction of the ÖMV petrol station. This will take you to the underground car park.

4) from the east along the D11 motorway
When coming from Hradec Králové and as you approach the centre of Prague follow the signs in the direction of Černý Most and then for centrum-Karlín. You will reach Těšnov Tunnel (Těšnovský tunel). After going through the tunnel, turn left immediately heading to the centre so that you join the arterial road (magistrála). Drive along this road through part of the centre. You will then reach Nusle Bridge (Nuselský most). After crossing the bridge turn right; at the roundabout turn right towards the ÖMV petrol station. This will take you to the Prague Congress Centre underground car park.
